The young David let God prevail in his heart as a youth. This prepared his mind, body, and spirit with strength.  Years later, his heart was strong enough and mature enough to fight the giant when the hearts in God’s army were failing, despite their worldly and spiritual training. David, a stripling in years, proved to also be a STRIPLING in heart, thus allowing God to prove what is possible through a single person with heavenly aide.
